The National Earth Science and Energy Information Centre (NESEIC) is a valuable resource and library within the Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy, operating under the Department of Geological Survey of Namibia (GSN). Our mission is to provide comprehensive, accurate, and timely information on earth sciences and energy to support the advancement of Namibian society.

  • Information Collection and Dissemination: We collect, store, and disseminate a wide range of scientific, mining, and energy information.
  • Resource Access: Our extensive collection includes books, maps, journals, GSN publications, and special collections on Namibian geology.
  • Database Access: Explore our Earth Data Namibia (EDN) database to search for articles and reports on geology and mineral exploration.

Library Services

  • Onsite access to collection and Earth Data Namibia (EDN). Printing and scanning as per copyright act at a cost of N$1 per page.
  • Information services.
