Powering Up Rural Communities

The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy established the Solar Revolving Fund (SRF) to promote the use of renewable energy technologies, particularly in remote, off-grid areas.

What is the Solar Revolving Fund?

The SRF is a credit facility that provides loans to individuals and communities in rural areas to purchase and install solar power systems. This initiative aims to address the energy access challenges faced by those living off the national grid.
