What We Do
- Policy Implementation: We are responsible for implementing energy policies and regulations, including the Electricity Act, 2007.
- Regulatory Oversight: We enforce compliance with energy legislation and regulations to ensure a fair and competitive market.
- Research and Development: We invest in research and development of new and renewable energy sources to diversify Namibia’s energy mix.

- Electricity Division: Oversees the generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity.
- Renewable Energy Division: Promotes the development and utilisation of renewable energy sources.
- Energy Planning and Research Division: Conducts energy planning and research to inform policy decisions.
